We’ll yesterday was certainly a busy one here at PhotoCreative365 was not only did we publish 10 posts throughout the day as part of our second #archiveday of 2011 but we were pretty relentless with our tweeting and Facebook posts.

Today’s blogging quick tip for photographers is very much in the sprite of #archiveday as it is all about revisiting your old blog posts and articles.

You know just by looking at your stats which posts draw in the most traffic but when was the last time you looked over them to see if they needed updating?

Things to check with your most popular (or most relevant) posts

  • Are the links you have shared still working?
  • Does the information need updating?
  • Are there any spelling mistakes you might have missed?
  • Is it worth writing a follow-up article?
  • Do you have an old post from a different blog which is worth re-writing and re-publishing at your current site?
For the past couple of weeks I have been revisiting and rewriting some of my own personal posts that I have written here at PhotoCreative365 and reposting them at 500px

Not only is it quite nice to go back and update some of my thoughts but it also gives those articles a new audience.
