Bridal Boudoir …. or as I like to call it ‘Euphoric Bride’

Submitted by on May 15, 2011 – 10:00 amOne Comment

After popular demand recently for boudoir shoots by bride to be’s, I decided to create some new images for our site. I like to call it Euphoric Bride as I want clients to feel that its about being a happy bride, proud to be you, and not what the word boudoir can typically spring to your mind first off.

Adore by Chloe styled the shoot beautifully and sourced adorable accessories from some fabulous local wedding suppliers. Huge thanks also to The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in Southwell for providing a perfect location.

I love shooting these images with lots of natural light and using accessories and lingerie that reflect your bridal look. With the final touches to hair and make up you’ll feel confident and have fun in creating some beautiful images for your partner as a gift for your wedding day.

Butterworth Photography is us, Neil and Becky Butterworth. We’re wedding and lifestyle portrait photographers working around the UK from a location which settles nicely in between Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire. We love what we do and have a very friendly approach in our work as we really enjoy spending time with people and making them feel comfortable in front of the camera.

We married in the year 2000 and each year really does get better and better!! Our family now includes a beautiful little girl, an active little boy and a big lovable dog called Lucy – who are all very much used to having a camera pointed in their direction a lot of the time!

It took me years to understand the genre of boudoir.  Whenever I saw it in sample albums or web sites it just looked like tacky soft porn to me.  Then I saw some of Zoe Richards’, Marta Demartini and Nedine O’Brien’s work and the penny dropped.  Done well, boudoir is both tasteful and yet still really quite sexy stuff.  The Butterworth images you have highlighted are an outstanding set of pictures that merely serve to depress me for how poor my own work is in comparison.  It’s another lovely find Michael.  Thanks for the link.   is both tasteful and yet still really quite sexy stuff.  The Butterworth images you have highlighted are an outstanding set of pictures that merely serve to depress me for how poor my own work is in comparison.  It’s another lovely find Michael.  Thanks for the link.
