1. Sharing is caring.

Don’t live in a bubble share your ideas and you might even improve them!

2. Why?

Ask yourself why…. why do any marketing? What are you doing? Have your asked yourself why you’re on Twitter, Facebook etc. Are they working for you and are you doing it right? Before you take any advice think how will it befit your business.

3. Writing a business plan

Do a basic plan, what do you want to achieve in the next year. Bullet points – how many wedding, portrait etc do you want to shoot in the next year?

Use a white board as a reference for your ideas…. even better use a wall planner to take a glance at the year ahead of you.

4. Define your target market.

What to do with the information after you have collected it. Once you know your target market do you know how they interact on and of line. Are you your target market?

How will your target market react and perceive you? Not just as a person but as a business.

5. Trade shows

Why go to trade shows? Why wouldn’t you? Meeting your suppliers is important, these are your network and part of your team.

These are people you’ll be working with every day. What’s your impression of these people and businesses.

Do they believe in their own products?

6. Time

Making time… how you do it? Do you have enough time? Do you have time for yourself.

Proper planning creates time. Don’t just plan your day plan your week, month…..year!

Make a schedule and stick to it.

Work out what you need to do and work out how many hours you have to do it.
