December 24, 2011 – 2:00 pm | One Comment

Inspired by Rosh Sillars’ #archiveday concept I’ve come up with my own take on what can be a successful social media marketing campaign. #PhotoInspirationDay is a day you set aside to give out a link little love to those who have helped you develop your business.

Changing your Twitter profile

December 17, 2011 – 10:00 am |

A few months a ago Rosh Sillars from New Media Photographer changed his twitter ID from new media photographer to roshsillars. It was an interesting and bold move in my mind. Bold because the new media photographer brand Rosh had built over the past few years was a very strong one. Interesting because it signified a direction that I think Rosh wants….. Twitter’s activity stream : Is it too much?

November 19, 2011 – 10:00 am |

This week Twitter launched their Activity feature in the UK which allows you to view favorites, follows, retweets, and more by people you follow. It is very much like the Facebook news feed in many ways and yes, it does seem almost a little too voyeuristic.
In fact it does take something away from Twitter in my [...]

Google+ Pages for Business

November 12, 2011 – 10:00 am |

Well it’s taken Google long enough but finally you can set-up your own business page on Google+. Thankfully you can manage and switch between your personal Google+ account and various business pages you set up. You can also choose to comment as your personal account or as your business page (mmmm, sounds familiar).

Increasing fan engagement on Facebook pages….. What would Jesus do?

November 5, 2011 – 10:00 am | One Comment

Ever since Facebook launched the ‘People are talking about this’ feature on pages everybody has been asking the same question….. How do I increase my fan engagement?
Really the question they should be asking is What would Jesus do?

Running competitions on Facebook using Offerpop

October 29, 2011 – 2:46 pm |

A couple of weeks ago I took a brief look at Running competitions on Facebook and highlighted that promotions on Facebook must be administered within Apps on Facebook.com. I’ve been checking out a few and one I came across that looked particularly interesting was Offerpop.

What iOS 5 means to social media

October 22, 2011 – 10:00 am |

Over the last couple of days I’ve been doing my updates and am now fully in the iCloud.
Apart from being a really good update one of the most notable introductions was the Twitter integration.
