Once again this the Sunday showcase is looking at submissions to The 2010 Project

Things or Still life photography is the depiction of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects. Still life photography, more so than other types of photography, such as landscape or portraiture, gives the photographer more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition.
I received my new LensBaby composer a couple of weeks ago and so far I’ve been doing a fe test shots. In the next few weeks I’m going to be looking at some of the different lenses and doing a few aperture tests.
So far I’ve been using the Macro Lens Kit, the 0.6X Wide Angle and the 1.6X Telephoto…. here’s the results…

We’ve been involved with the Miss Wimbledon event for a couple of years now. With all of the winners we organise a photoshoot with them somehwere in the Wimbledon area.
This year with the weather being so nice we decided to venture out to Cannizaro park.
This week’s Sunday Showcase is a bit different, rather than show the work of one photographer we’re going to show loads!

The 2010 Project is an International Photographic Competition designed to showcase some of the best photographic imagery whilst raising valuable funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Today’s Sunday Showcase is actually a pre-wedding shoot for a couple in Windsor. We featured some of these shots on Memory Gate’s wedding blog, but this particular set have been reprocessed into a nice little set of 10.
Today’s Sunday Showcase images are a bit of a revisiting to a personal project I started about 10 years ago. I have always been fascinated but light and movement but this project was more about creating simple yet pleasing washes of colour.
The original images were shot on film and scanned. There has been very little Photoshop done other than to smooth the movement of the lights.
This week our Sunday showcase images come from Memory Gate’s Marcin Mieczkowski. These images are from a couple of different shoots for Klass Hair Salon and stylist Sam Millard.
Whilst being the other half of the Memory Gate photography duo, Marcin also runs London Pro Retouch.
