Creating a photo walk – Using Flickr
This is the sixth post in our series this week Creating a Photo Walk.

Today we’re looking at using Flickr to share our photos and encourage others to partake in the walk.
Creating a Flickr group certainly has it’s advantages, here’s a few we’ve looked at:
Geo-tagging
Although the images we exported from iPhoto didn’t retain the geo-tags it can be done quite easily manually. We’ve been looking at a couple of geo -tagging iPhone applications which create a sidecar file which can then be imported into Flickr.
The community
The biggest advantage of using Flickr to host images images is that there is already a ready built community. Groups walks can be arranged through discussions and feedback and critiques can also be encouraged.
Easy Blogging
Sharing images on individual’s blogs is also quick and easy through the blog it option
You’ll see in yesterday’s post Wimbledon Common Photo Walk an example of the Blog it option.
There’s also the nice little option to tweet pics too.
