This was the last talk of the business school (not foregting Catherine Connor’s short debrief). As the weather was getting even more snowy outside the day finished a little earlier…. thankfully for those of us who had to make it back to deep dark Surrey!

John started off by pointing our that he is not a TFP photographer. Any ‘free’ shots really need to be done on your terms and to have real benefit to your business. Things to consider when ‘testing’:
- Artistic outcome
- Commercial outcome
- Lighting posing and directing style
- You get better at what you do
- You create a fan
- Your website improves
- Images could be used for competitions
- You start a conversation
- You build your web of business – network
- Do a good job and that web or network, will start to work for you.

In the past we’ve done similar shoot for hairdressers, bridal shops and fashion events. From that work we’ve booked weddings, portrait sessions, got free adversing and of course grew our network.
These a a couple of shots we did for Miss Wimbledon that have appeared in Wimbledon Decoded Magazine.
