Day 23 – Create your own actions in Photoshop Part 2 – Saving and exporting actions
This is the second part of our tutorial on creating action in Photoshop. It’s important to note that all of these tutorials have been done on a Mac using Snow Leopard and Photoshop CS4.
The great thing about creating actions is not only that you can automate your workflow but you can also share those actions with other people. If the actions are good enough it’s also a great way to monetize on your skills. Guy Gowan’s Retouch Action is one of the best Photoshop action sets around and I defiantly recommend you having a look.
Saving and Exporting your Action Set.
Firstly open Actions making sure Button Mode is off, them selection your newly created Action Set.
Save it where you can find it. In this case we have saved to the Desktop.
If you intend on sharing your action by uploading it onto a website you might have to compress it into a zip file.
To load the new action it couldn’t be simpler. Open action and hit Load Actions…
And you’re done!
