Day 30 – Lens Baby effect in Photoshop

If like me you love the Lens Baby but are trying to keep to the ‘no more toys’ rule for a while here’s a very simple action to get a similar effect in Photoshop.

Lens Baby Effect.atn

Matt who I met at the 2010 SWPP convention has been experimenting with the real thing at his 365 photo blog matts365.blogspot.com so have a look at what the real thing can do.

Once you have uploaded the action have a look at this video to show you how it works.

You can’t beat the real thing but I’d love to see what you come up with.

    Hi Michael and Keith,

The real thing is a bugger to operate – especially on a crop sensor body as it is too easy to go too far with the movement and make it so you can’t get a point in focus (it’s off the edge of the sensor) but if you get it right, the effect is lovely.

Looking forward to what you can do with the action Keith. I’ll get some more images up with the toy soon.

    Matt
