Day 38 – Create custom boarders for you images

There are lots of different techniques for creating custom boarders for your photos using Photoshop. The one I’m going to show you today is creating by simply taking a photo of a piece of paper on a black (or dark) background.

There aren’t really any limits to what you can use to make your boarder just as long as it as a fairly solid centre (black or white).

Here’s the image in Camera RAW. I’ve pushed the exposure up to bring out the white areas but to keep the black areas I’ve just brought the Blacks. I didn’t want too many colours in the images so I brought the Vibrance down to -100. I did want some texture so I took the Clarity to +100

Once I opened the image in Photoshop the rest is fairly simple….. here’s a video to explain the rest….
