Day 92 – What to look forward to in CS5
The new Adobe Creative Suite 5 (CS5) is set to launch in 10 days from now. Monday April 12th at 4pm GMT to be exact and you can now register at http://cs5launch.adobe.com/ to join the online global launch (Adobe ID at the ready).
Before you get too excited this is more of an unveiling than an actual product launch. We’ll have to wait probably until the Autumn to get our hands on the software but it’s exciting all the same.
Here are some of the features that we’ve seen already from the unofficial Adobe CS5 Blog.
Content Aware Fill
No longer will we spend hours with that stamp tool to remove unwanted trees, building, cars whatever!
Just do it
Quick straightening, easier down sampling, multiple layer adjustments.
Keyboard colour picker commands, sampling ring with the new eyedropper tool and dynamic resizing brushes.
There’s also some amazing brush presets.
The third video shows an example of setting defaults in layer styles and some new preferences….. and finally a ‘Apply to All’ click box.
Selections
This is something that our team at London Pro Retouch are really looking forward too!
The new selection technology for Adobe Photoshop CS5 that offers better edge detection and masking results in less time. And before you ask, yes, it can handle hair!
For more information keep April 12th in your diary free and to see some more sneak peek videos you can go straight to cs5.org or the YouTube channel www.youtube.com/user/CS5ORG
