September 5, 2010 – 10:00 am | No Comment

Once again this the Sunday showcase is looking at submissions to The 2010 Project
All of these images have been submitted in the Things category.
Things or Still life photography is the depiction of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects. Still life photography, more so than other types of photography, such as landscape or portraiture, gives the photographer more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition.

Dodge and Burn Photoshop action version 2

Submitted by Michael Shilling on July 6, 2010 – 10:00 amNo Comment

This is our second and far more improved dodge and burn Photoshop action which is free to download. With dodging and burning it is important to start of with properly processed RAW file and we did a little video back in March on that very subject so have a look at Non-destructive dodge and burning in Photoshop.

Version 2 of the action includes additional controls for intensity but the overall quality of the effect is nice and subtle.

Here’s a little video showing the action in action….. enjoy…..
