Submitted by on June 4, 2011 – 10:00 am4 Comments

A couple of weeks ago I came across the site groozi.com which is a blog about negotiating and web marketing. It is written primarily Blake J. Discher, a Detroit-based photographerSEO consultant, and speaker.

I’ve presented my two programs, “Web Marketing & SEO” and “I Stink at Negotiating” more than 100 times to trade groups of every size.

I’ve picked out a couple of articles that you certainly might be interested in having a look at:

SEO Tips from from Blake J. Discher

Content Still King in SEO

In the world of search engine optimization, or SEO, content is king. What I’m talking about is human readable HTML text on your home page.

Crucial for SEO: A Good Title Tag

One of the basics in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the content of a website’s TITLE tag which end up being displayed in the top-most bar of a browser window when someone is looking at your site. The tag is given significant weight by search engines in their effort to figure out exactly what a site is about.

Effective Achor Text for SEO

Anchor text is the actual human readable text of any link on a web page. We’ve all seen the worst example of effective anchor text, the clickable Click Here. A link that simply reads “Click Here” tells the reader (and more importantly, a search engine) nothing about what that link is about.

LinkedIn: A Photographer’s Guide, Part 1 & Part 2

One of the biggest mistakes made by photographers with regards to LinkedIn is joining photographer’s groups, since you will be preaching to the choir, and no marketing effort will have any value at all.

It’s Not Personal, It’s Business

To quote Marlon Brando in “The Godfather”, “It’s not personal, it’s business”. Business is business. The point I wanted to make was to neither just “stand up” or “roll over”.

One thing I did find interesting was the U Comment I Follow concept at groozi.com. Blake utilizes the Do Follow Plugin For WordPress, if you’d like to see why then click on the badge above.

Totally agree – content is definitely king. If it’s not good Google and humans just won’t want to know

Sensible information is always a key factor to success, especially in web marketing. Content should make visitors stay on your website and engage with what you have to offer.
