The OnOne Phototools has been around for a while now so we thought it only fair to have a good look round what the software has to offer. A few months ago OnOne released a free version and we did give it a little mention on The PhotoCreative Podcast Episode 6

Phototools 2.5 Professional Edition retails at around $160 (although at the time we got it for $99 so keep an eye on future deals). It’s certainly an impressive bit of software boasting hundreds of professional effects created by top photographers and Photoshop Hall-of-Famers like Kevin Kubota and Jack Davis.

For the next few weeks we’re going to take a much closer look at the software and pick out some of our favourite effects and presets. Today we’re focusing on black and white conversion.

As there are quite a number of black and white presets we’re going to spread this out over two posts. The next articule will be on Tuesday but we already have a PDF quick view thumbnail sheet of these example in the Downloads section in the Members Area.
