As I sat with Kels having coffee at Canon Pro Solutions in Islington last Tuesday she made the same observation I’m sure most people do at these sort of events …… There’s a lot of blokes here!

It could be that it was half term and all the working mums were looking after the kids and not drawling over the new Canon D1x. Or it could simply be that the photography business or rather the business of photography should I say, is very much still predominantly male.
Then again maybe women aren’t that interested in trade shows, gadgets and all that faff. Perhaps the modern female photographer is embracing the art first technique second spirit of Julia Margret Cameron.
That could possibly be the most sexist of the options but in all honesty I don’t really believe that to be true.

One thing that is true without a doubt is that photographic trade shows are sausage fests.

Anyway I guess that is really a ramble for another day as this week is the first of my new series the Monday Morning Ramble.
Arguably I’ve been rambling on most days for the past couple of years here at Photocreative365 but I fancied introducing a more structured platform for my random thoughts.
The Monday morning ramble will be just that.
I’ll be sharing a few things that I’ve been getting up to, a few images that I’ve been taking and answering any questions that might come in.
I’ll also be sharing a few interesting links that I might have come across during the week on Twitter, Google+ or Facebook.

Hopefully it should be quite a lighthearted if not slightly self indulgent start to the week (for me at least).
