The scope of this lecture is to highlight what I think are the basics to master photoshop. The understanding of layers and blend modes, (which can also be used in brush mode), are staple to photoshop users. Channels open up different horizons. Channels do not only contain information of the image, but can also be modified, can be selected as a mask and can also be split up to produce a different image.
