Tweet & Like WordPress plugin

You might have noticed that we’ve added a new set of sharing buttons here at PhotoCreative365 and a couple of people have been asking which one I’m using. I have been looking for a new set of tweet and like buttons for a while and I also wanted something which has a Google+ button as well.
Last week I came across this rather interesting, dare I say it, Mashable style, WordPress plugin Tweet & Like.
Top of my list of boxes I wanted to tick was having the buttons appearing as a set rather than using stand alone tweet or like buttons which unless you are comfortable with coding can be fiddly to aline on your post. Tweet & Like does all this for you and does offer a few extra options which were a pleasant surprise.
Random Titles
I love this feature as it allows me to create a list of random titles to appear above the buttons. The few I’ve set are Like this story? Share the love my friends!, Helpful? Why not share?, Go on….. sharing is caring!, Like it share it tweet it plus it, Sharing is caring and you do care don’t you?
Every time the page is refreshed or the viewer clicks onto a new article the titles change. As far as I can tell you can you can have as many of these as you like or if you just want one (or none) then simply set a title and leave the Random Title section empty.
Facebook, Twitter and Google+
This isn’t a massive sharing plugin and only deals with the ‘big 3′ so if you did want Stumble, Digg or any other sharing options you’re better off looking elsewhere. What Tweet & Like does offer is a good amount of control of the type of buttons that appear (Facebook send and like for example) and the style of button (horizontal or vertical, count or no count).
I did have a little issue with the Facebook button but after changing the width so the the button fitted into my articles the problem was solved.
As for the Tweet button settings you can create a custom default text and url but if you want to leave those sections blank then the button will grab the post title and url automatically.
I did want to add in my Twitter name and that is easily done by putting my username into the Recommend people to follow section but I dd also want PhotoCreative365 to appear as well.
I found that if you add in some text after your username than that can be achieved. You can also add in hashtags if you like as well. Here’s how the tweet appears:

All in all I think it’s a great plugin for sharing and although it is limited to three social networks they are the three that I’m most concerned with.
Tweet & Share can be set to appear at the start and finish of your articles and that can only work to encourage more sharing from your readers…… so go on….. click away!
